Tour description
This enchanting and fun activity will show you what it´s like to be a wine expert for a day. Perfect for children and small groups of adults. You will not only learn by watching the activity leader, but you will also get to try the activities yourself- feel like a real enologist and pretend you are a Riojan winemaker!
Highlights
Walk amongst the vineyards and learn what the most important things are to get a good crop. Find out what steps are needed along the way (pruning, green pruning, cutting the foliage, ripening control, the grape harvest…). Enjoy a traditional Riojan snack. Carry out little experiments inside the underground bodega in order to understand how the wine ferments. Learn about the aging process by trying some barrelled wine and understand the differences between young (crianza) and old wine, plus much more.
