DAY 1 - Barcelona – Rioja
After a pleasant and relaxing train ride from Barcelona to Rioja you will be transfered to your hotel in Laguardia, one of the most fascinating villages in Rioja wine country. This first day you will have time on your own to enjoy Laguardia. Laguardia is one of Spain´s most beautiful villages. Cars are not permitted inside the village walls and strolling its cobbled streeets will take you back in time.
DAY 2 – Rioja - Burgos
After breakfast at your hotel in Rioja, you will be picked up by your tour guide for your private tour of Rioja. You will enjoy a fantastic day in wine country before heading south to Burgos. You will enjoy time and wine tasting at 2 very different wineries and taste local riojan gastronomy at the superb Bistro restaurant at Marques de Riscal, one of Spain´s top architecture icons. You will learn about local wine culture, history and enjoy fantastic landscapes. After a full day of wine and culture you will driven to your hotel in Burgos. We have selected one of Burgos best hotels. Our guide will recommend the best options for your dinner and for taking a nice evening walk around the center of Burgos. Get a good night’s sleep because, tomorrow, Ribera del Duero awaits you.
DAY 3 – Ribera del Duero - Madrid
After having enjoyed your breakfast at the hotel your guide will pick you up to start a tour to Ribera del Duero. Ribera del Duero is one of Spain´s most important win regions and you will discover there a very different Spain. Our experts will have selected 3 fantastic wineries where you will not only taste excellent wines, but also walk in medieval cellars or enjoy a meal next to oak barrels. Your day will end with drop-off at your hotel in Madrid. After these days we are sure you will consider both the experiences in Rioja and Riebra del Duero as the highlights of your vacation in Spain

  • At what time will we take the train from Barcelona on day 1? There are normally 2 trains to Barcelona on day 1. In case you have a preference for an earlier train let us know. 
  • At what time will we arrive to Madrid on day 3? You will typically get to Madrid at around 18:00
  • Can I pay with Amex? You need to contact us to be able to book with Amex

  • Can I play with a paypal account? You need to contact us if you wish to pay using Paypal

  • Can I have the name of the wineries we will visit? We do not advertise the names of the wineries visited and prefer not to provide them to ensure we keep the exclusivity of the tour to its maximum for our customers. We only visited small, top wineries that fit perfectly well into the schedule for the day.  

  • Can I propose which wineries to visit? We understand you may love some wines and would like to visit the winery where they are produced. We are happy to listen to your preferences but please bear in mind that some wines are great, but the wineries not worth visiting. Please bear also in mind that some wineries do not accept visits or are not available on many days. Lastly, visiting certain wineries may imply a huge detour. The local team is expert in Ribera del Duero and Rioja and will ensure your tour includes amazing wineries.

If you are booking well in advance you may prefer to pay a 20% deposit to reserve your date. If you book for less than 30 days we recommend you book paying the full amount. Full balance is requesterd 4 or 3 weeks prior to the starting tour date.

If cancelled 30 days before the start of your trip, 15% of the total services cost will be deducted. For cancellations within 30 days of the starting date of the service, 30% of the total cost will be charged. Tours cancelled 7 days or less prior to the first day of your trip are non-refundable. We advise that you consider purchasing Trip Cancellation / Travel Insurance.
