Visiting the winery of Marqués de Riscal is a journery throughout the history of Rioja wines. The winery has the most modern facilities for the production of high quality wines in Rioja. Marqués de Riscal is an icon in Rioja wines due to its reputation and the role it had to play in transforming Rioja into what it is today. Note that the hotel building designed by Frank Gehry is not the winery. The visitor’s center of the winery is located just a few meters from the hotel.
