DAY 1 - Madrid – Ribera del Duero - Burgos area
On day one of this private tour, you will visit wineries in the region of Burgos . The tour will take you to wineries near the historic cities of Roa de Duero, Aranda de Duero and Peñafiel. This eastern part of Ribera del Duero holds the highest vineyards and it is renowned for the distinctive quality of its grapes due to the stark temperature contrast between day and night. On this first day the tour will include visits to three distinct wineries and culminate with a high quality, traditional lunch served at one of them. The local specialty of Lamb will be included in the menu.
DAY 2 – Ribera del Duero - Golden Mile
Today you will experience the renowned ‘Golden Mile’ area of Ribera del Duero. Get on board of a 4×4 tour amongst picturesque vineyards. Subsequently, you will visit two of the most renowned wineries in Ribera del Duero and taste exclusive wines, followed by a feast of local delicacies at a beautiful location; an old water ill transformed into a restaurant. On the return journey to Madrid, your driver will make a brief stop at Segovia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for you to admire the renowned Roman aqueduct and the city´s majestic castle; both landmarks are renowned icons of Spain.

Where do I even start? Our tour guide, Giuseppe, was incredible. He was super friendly, super knowledgeable, and always made sure we were having a good time. We did have certain dietary restrictions that we let them know about ahead of time and we were stunned at how well they accommodated us. The two lunches that we had, they had called ahead of time to make sure that we could eat there, and we ate amazingly well! The wineries that we visited were also incredible. There was a great mix of some larger wineries and some smaller ones. All the wine was good, but we especially enjoyed the smaller wineries as we got to spend some quality time talking to the people there. All of the individual components of the tour were amazing, but what stands out more than anything is just how it all came together. When we think back on this tour, it was just simply amazing. It was a once in a lifetime experience and the best way to experience Spain's wine country.

  • Can I have the name of the wineries we will visit? We do not advertise the names of the wineries visited and prefer not to provide them to ensure we keep the exclusivity of the tour to its maximum for our customers. We only visited small, top wineries that fit perfectly well into the schedule for the day.  

  • Can I propose which wineries to visit? We understand you may love some wines and would like to visit the winery where they are produced. We are happy to listen to your preferences but please bear in mind that some wines are great, but the wineries not worth visiting. Please bear also in mind that some wineries do not accept visits or are not available on many days. Lastly, visiting certain wineries may imply a huge detour. The local team is expert in Ribera del Duero and Rioja and will ensure your tour includes amazing wineries.
