A tour does not get any better than this. Picked up at our hotel by the smart and informative guide, who speaks perfect English, then whisked away to a winery and excellent vineyard, plus an extravagant lunch in a cave, and on to wonderful Toledo! The places were amazing, but I think the best part of the day was meeting our guidl, the energetic folks (beer artists) at the brewery, and the charming young owner at the winery. So far, my favorite Spain experience!

Culture, cuisine, wine and good friends, what could be better. Three of us booked this tour. We were picked up at our Airbnb in Madrid and were driven to Toledo by our own private tour guide, Camillo. The itinerary inToledo was flexible. We stopped at a scenic point outside of the city. Once in Toledo, we went to the cathedral (besting the tour buses in) where we did an audio guided tour. The artwork in the cathedral was amazing, including a piece by El Greco. Not to be missed. We were interested in the gold jewelry that is hand made in Toledo so Camillo took us to a shop where we could see it being made and we purchased a few pieces. We then went to see another amazing El Greco and a synagogue. From there we went to a winery for a winery tour, wine tasting and lunch. We learned a lot about Spanish wines on the tour. The wines were amazing. I didn’t realize such tasty wines were made around Toledo. Lunch was equally wonderful. We had a tasty cold soup similar to but creamier than gazpacho, a salad with roasted red pepper, an oxtail stew and of course a delicious wine. And dessert too. We then stopped at a group of windmills. We climbed up one and learned how they worked. Would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic tour to Toledo! Tour guide Raul was a delight! His knowledge of the area and of Spanish history and art was exceptional. Winery tour one on one with the owner, with so much to see, learn and taste! Unique and interesting restaurants and Spanish cuisine. Do not miss the El Greco Museum. I travel all over the world and this was one of the best tours I have ever taken.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience. Our all day tour included a very personal tour of a winery by the third generation family owner. The tasting was great and we ordered a case of their red wine for delivery back to the US. The charming restaurant selected for our lunch was picture perfect. Located in a small Spanish village near the old Danish windmills in the La Mancha region, the restaurant served up an unbelievable menu of fish, meat, vegetables and more wine. We recommend this tour to anyone desiring an escape from the larger city environments. Our tour was day-long and we were able to see a tremendous variety of landscapes, villages and country culinary experiences.

What an absolutely perfect day! I highly recommend this as something different to do on your visit to Spain. We were picked up at our hotel at 8:00am by our guide; his English is excellent and he made us feel immediately welcome. We drove out of town towards La Mancha and the town of Consuegra. Before we drove up to see the windmills we stopped at a tiny café in the town for a great cup of coffee. Then it was up to the windmills which were really cool; you can even walk inside one and see the inner workings and the views from the top which were beautiful. Then it was on to a family-owned winery where we got a private tour from the owner. He let us taste several wines right out of the casks which was a nice touch. Then into the tasting room for some amazing wines and snacks. We then headed to lunch at an absolutely beautiful restaurant built right in a cave. The food was awesome and it was one of the most unique restaurants I have ever been too. Finally we headed to the town of Toledo. We went up to the top of the town for some photos of some of the most amazing views on our trip. We then drove down to the city to explore and see some more monuments including El Greco's painting "The Burial of the Count of Orgaz:. If you haven't been to Toledo, I HIGHLY recommend it. It is small and quaint and much less crowded than either Madrid or Barcelona. Finally, we stopped to enjoy a beer and do a little people-watching before heading back to our hotel in Madrid.
